Indonesia’s car sales, including exports, rose slightly to 32,510 units in June from 32,293 units in May, automotive concern PT Astra International (P.ASI) said Friday, quoting a report from the Indonesia Car Makers’ Association.
During the month, the country’s car exports rose 5% to 5,030 units from 4,791 units in May.Astra said its total car sales, including exports, fell slightly to 19,337 units in June from 19,366 units a month earlier.

During the month Astra exported 4,970 cars, up 3.9% from 4,784 in May. Meanwhile, its domestic car sales fell to 14,367 units from 14,582 units in the previous month.The company also said its motorcycle sales in May rose 2.8% to 34,923 units from 33,979 units in May.
Astra didn’t offer any comments on its sales performance.Shares in Astra Friday ended up 1.7%, or 45 rupiah ($1=IDR9,468), to IDR2,735.
