Ford Motor Indonesia has opened a new dealership in Bekasi, West Java, as part of the company’s plan to expand further into the car market in the country.
Built on a 4,700sq m plot, the new outlet, which consists of showroom facilities and service pits for 14 to 16 vehicles, is the company’s largest dealership within ASEAN, the Jakarta Post said.

Ford ASEAN president Matt Bradley said with the new dealership, people around Bekasi would have more access to the company’s new cars such as the Fiesta.
Ford Motor Indonesia MD Bekasi Bagus Susanto said Bekasi is one of the most important markets in the Greater Jakarta area. He said since opening in April 2013, the dealership had sold 70 cars and serviced over 200 vehicles.
By the end of the year, FMI will open as many as nine dealerships in Greater Jakarta and outside.
The latest Fiesta will be introduced at the upcoming motor show, which will be held in Jakarta in September.
