Tata Motors is all set to launch two new hatchbacks in India in 2015, CarTrade.com reported.

The first model, to be launched in January 2015, will reportedly be the Bolt based on a heavily modified X1 platform. It will be offered in both petrol and diesel variants – 1.2L Revotron engine and 1.3L multi-jet motor – both mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The AMT version of the model will be offered with diesel variant.

The second hatchback, codenamed Kite, is expected to be launched by the end of 2015. It will also be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, reports say.

The company will reportedly equip the model with its 1.05-litre 3-cylinder common rail diesel unit mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and delivering 64.01bhp of power.

The petrol model will feature an all-new 1.2L petrol engine, it is speculated. This model might also get CNG and LPG fuel options. Tata Motors may release an AMT-equipped variant of Kite.
