Tata Motors Group has reported sales of 86,996 units in September 2010, 19% ahead of the same month last year. September’s sales take cumulative sales for the fiscal (April–September 2010) to 511,934 units, some 38% ahead of last year’s pace.
Sales of Tata commercial vehicles were 40,961 in September, 18% ahead of last year. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 233,573 units, 32% up on last year.
Sales of all Tata Group passenger vehicles were 46,035 units for the month, up 21% on last year. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 278,361 units, 43% ahead of last year.

Within the Tata Group figure, Tata brand passenger vehicle sales, including those distributed, were 26,507 for the month, a growth of 24%. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 166,074, a growth of 45%.
Jaguar Land Rover global sales (also included in the Tata Group figure) in September were 19,528 vehicles, higher by 16% versus last year. Jaguar sales for the month were 4,861, higher by 10%, while Land Rover sales were 14,667, higher by 19%. Cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal are 112,287, higher by 40%. Cumulative sales of Jaguar are 29,780, higher by 27%, while cumulative sales of Land Rover are 82,507, higher by 45%.
