Tata Auto Components (TACO) has entered into a joint venture with MobiApps to manufacture GPS/GSM based vehicle tracking device – the m-Trak 100.
The embedded software of the product will continue to be supplied by Singapore based MobiApps. TACO MobiApps will take over the exisiting sales and service office of MobiApps India based in Bangalore.
The company already has an impressive list of domestic and overseas customers including Transport Corporation of India, Hyundai Motors India, General Motors India, Safexpress, Wipro Technologies in India and marine propulsion company Mercury, Life Fitness, Praxair Inc, Ford and Dell overseas.
MobbiApps is an Arthur D’Little company specialising in hybrid terrestrial and satellite technologies for commercial communications. MobiApps has introduced low cost technologies in global communications converging wireless communications technologies such as 802.11, GPRS, CDMA and satellite.
