The new passenger airbag deployment facility will have a testing system from Microsys Technologies of Canada. The system, the first in India, will be configured with high speed cameras capable of speeds of 4,000 frames per second in order to capture and analyse instrument panel performance during the airbag deployment. The data acquisition system can be used to measure forces generated by the airbag which can then be correlated with the high speed video using analysis software.


TACO customers include Ashok Leyland, DaimlerChrysler, Fiat, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, John Deere, Mahindra and Mahindra, Piaggio, Tata Motors, Toyota, Volvo and VW.


The company has 24 manufacturing facilities and five engineering centres.
