INDIA: Maruti unveils country`s first station wagon
Maruti Udyog Ltd. – the Indian Govt./Suzuki Motor Co. (Japan) alliance - announced that it will launch India`s first station-wagon on Friday (1/9/00), says Bloomberg News (31/8/00).
Called the `Baleno Altura Wagon`, the car – based on the mid-size `Baleno` sedan – beats Fiat India`s rival model the `Siena Weekend Station Wagon` to the Indian market by one week.
