Maruti Suzuki India has launched a CNG version of the Ertiga, a seven-seater utility vehicle. The model will now be available with natural gas, petrol or diesel engines.
The ‘Ertiga Green’ will be available with LXi and VXi trim and is the only vehicle in its segment with a factory fitted CNG system which is fitted on the main assembly line. Fuel economy is 22.80km/kg.

Maruti marketing chief Manohar Bhat said: “With the Ertiga Green our customers will be able to enjoy lower running costs and also take advantage of Maruti Suzuki’s vast service network across the country.”
The cars has i-GPI (intelligent-Gas Port Injection) technology which uses a dual engine control unit that delivers a calibrated quantity of fuel to the engine, leading to more efficient fuel usage and consistent high performance.
The Ertiga Green will be available in Indian states with CNG infrastructure including Delhi NCR, Gujarat, Mumbai, Pune and parts of Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
