India’s biggest tractor and utility vehicle maker, Mahindra & Mahindra, said on Friday it sold 10,618 vehicles in its auto division in March, up 61% from a year earlier, Reuters reported.

According to Reuters, the company said in a statement that March sales of utility vehicles rose 56% to 8,881 units, light commercial trucks were up 27% to 517 units and three-wheeled motorised rickshaws rose 139% to 1,220 units. Total sales volumes in the auto division rose 33% for the year to March, to 85,837 vehicles.
