Auto component maker JBM is setting up three more plants to supply automakers.
“We are setting up a plants in Chennai for Nissan-Renault, in Pantnagar for Ashok Leyland and in Sanand for Tata Motors,” group deputy general manager Aniruddha Chatterjee told just-auto on the sidelines of Automotive Components Manufacturers Association annual conference in New Delhi.

He added: “JBM is investing about US$110m setting up the three plants.”
The component maker already has 30 units around the country in 20 alliances with global partners.
“All three facilities should be functional by the end of fiscal 2012,” Chatterjee said.
Customers include Ashok Leyland, Bajaj, Eicher, Fiat, Ford, GM, Hero, Honda, JCB, M&M, Maruti Suzuki, Nissan, Renault, Tata, Toyota, TVS, VW and Volvo.

JBM is known to be looking for acquisitions abroad particularly in Europe, Russia, Turkey and Brazil.
