Hyundai Mobis is planning to expand its network in India to counter fake components which have been coming into the market.
Following the appointment of its fifth authorised Indian distributor in Hyderabad, the company said it will name more in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Hyundai Mobis supplies spare parts through its distributors to 360 dealers in India which in turn supply over 600 service outlets. It has four warehouses around the country.
The parts maker claimed that about 30% of the market for Hyundai car components is being supplied with fake parts. Most are from India, with some coming from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea. They are packaged and branded in the original style.
Hyundai Mobis aims to increase the proportion of genuine spare parts from 70% to 75% this year through a better distribution network, raids on fake manufacturers and customer awareness programmes.
