Honda Motor in India is reportedly investing INR1.5bn (US$33m) to expand its vehicle manufacturing capacity from 30,000 to 50,000 units a year.

The current capacity of Honda Motors’ Indian unit will double by 2010, according to India-based keralanext.com.
The expanded capacity will allow Indian production of the recently launched City ZX model and the 2006 Civic model, the news agency said.
