Honda Cars India will start a second production shift at its Tapukara plant, employing about 1,000 workers, this financial year.
According to PTI, Janeswar Sen, HCIL head of marketing and sales, said: “We will require more manpower. We think we will add 800-1,000 people by the end of this fiscal year.”

Over 3,000 people work at Tapukara where 2,200 are employed directly by HCIL, Sen added.
The company currently employs around 9,000 people directly and indirectly at its factories in Tapukara and Greater Noida.
