As an environmentally conscious corporate citizen, General Motors India celebrated World Environment Day on 5 June by organising free Pollution Check-Up Camps across its dealerships and facilities including the Talegaon and Halol manufacturing facilities and General Motors Technical Centre India (GMTC-I).

Chevrolet customers nationwide were invited to their nearest authorised dealerships and free pollution check was undertaken. Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates were handed over to customers whose vehicles met the emission requirements.

A tree sapling was also given to each of the customers visiting Chevrolet dealerships on the occasion in order to highlight the importance of conserving the environment. Tree plantation drives were also undertaken at GM India’s facilities on the special day to spread the ‘Go Green’ message internally.
