General Motors India booked record growth of 101% in December 2009 with 8,258 units sold, a monthly record for the unit which is just launching its new Beat small car.
GM India closed the third fiscal quarter with 55,724 units sold against 47,786 units last year despite the market being sluggish till July/August due to recession.
“With consumer optimism slowly getting back, GM India should be able to register double digit growth this financial year as well,” it said in a statement.
