Ford India has launched a vehicle personalisation centre in India customising EcoSport SUVs to order. The centre in Chennai is the first such unit operated by the automaker in the Asia Pacific region.
The 35,000 sq m centre has 19 modification bays and is close to the car maker’s Chennai factory.
It was opened by Asia Pacific customer service chief John Cooper and Ford India president Nigel Harris.
“Customers today view vehicles as an extension of their own personalities and are keen to customise their cars to stand out from the clutter,” said Cooper. Upgrades meet Ford standards and do not compromise warranties, he added.
Customers get quality, factory fit customisation options without any wait and dealers will not need to stock vehicle accessories.
The centre is initially offering three option packs for the EcoSport which are ordered with the car.
