Citing Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers data (SIAM), Hindhu Business Line said exports of 154,787 units for the April-September period compared with 99,266 a year ago, topped Hyundai Motor India (HMIL).
HMIL’s export tally rose 78.61% to 120,649 units vs 67,626 a year ago. It expects to produce 530,000 units in India this year and export around 270,000.
Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) exports grew 20.03% to 29,698 cars. Mahindra Renault began exporting its Logan this fiscal half with 243 units while Fiat India exported 186 units, the report added.
