Fiat plans to launch its Maserati brand in India, The Economic Times said citing a source.
The source said Maserati plans to open company-owned stores in major cities of the country. “The company has a plan to start with maybe two or three big size dealers in metros like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.”
However, Fiat Chrysler India president and managing director Nagesh Basavanhalli, said, “it is too early to comment” on Maserati’s India launch. “We are under lots of discussions for bringing exciting stuff from our international portfolio, though we are yet to freeze our plans.”
