Faurecia has opened its TechCenter in India for emissions control technologies in a site housing almost 200 engineers specialising in design and validation.
The new R&D centre adds to the three existing FECT (Faurecia Emissions Control Technologies) plants in Pune, Chennai and Bangalore producing hot and cold parts of exhaust systems.

Faurecia currently has two TechCenters – in Pune (for Interior Systems, Automotive Seating and Automotive Exteriors) and Bangalore (Emissions Control Technologies) – along with eight production sites in the major Indian automobile manufacturing regions.
The company has more than two thousand employees and works for Ford, Hyundai, Mahindra, Maruti-Suzuki, Tata, Toyota and Volkswagen, among others.
With its partner Cummins, the Group also has a presence in the commercial vehicles sector.
The Group has been in India from 1995.
