Hyundai Motor announced it had renewed its partnership with Anglo-Dutch oil giant Royal Dutch Shell, this time with a stronger emphasis on clean energy and carbon emissions reduction.
Hyundai signed the new global business cooperation agreement with Shell, which runs until 2026, at an online ceremony at its Hyundai MotorStudio Goyang in South Korea.

The automaker said the new partnership would undertake cooperative projects that reflect this new direction, including a plan to establish new types of service channels for e-mobility service providers, primarily in Asia.
They will also discuss cooperation in establishing recharging services for electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
The head of Hyundai Motor's global operations division said: "With Shell we will be securing our competitiveness within the automotive industry, continuing our transition as a smart mobility solution provider. This time around we will join forces to drive positive change with clean mobility solutions that benefit all."
The automaker confirmed "the renewed agreement will help it focus on its transformation to a smart mobility solution provider. Shell will also expand its role in providing Hyundai with cleaner mobility solutions".

We believe we can best enhance Hyundai's customer service experiences by tapping our EV charging expertise and our deep insights gathered from daily interactions with motorists at our 46,000 retail sites globally".
