Hyundai Motor is to recall 184,000 Tucson SUVs in South Korea and China from next month due to problems with the suspension system.

According to the South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation, the rear trailing arm of the suspension system is not strong enough and may cause complications to the other parts within the system.

A total of 87,700 of these vehicles, sold between September 2015 and May 2016, are to be recalled in South Korea from this month. 

China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine also confirmed that a total of 96,100 units are to be recalled in the country, probably from next month.

Last October, Hyundai launched a recall for the same model in China to fix problems with the installation of the dual-clutch system.

Also last year, Hyundai recalled around 143,000 Tucsons in the US and South Korea because of problems with the installation of the secondary hood/bonnet latch and a further recall related to installation problems with the oil coolers.
