Hyundai Mobis, a South Korea-based car parts manufacturing company and subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, plans to invest $60m (Won76.8m) to build a new 33,000m² facility to supply battery systems for flagship electric vehicle models in Bekasi, a city on the eastern border of Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta.

The new plant will use battery cells supplied by HLI Green Power, and will turn them into modules that include a controller and a heat controller. It will then supply the modules to global automakers.
