
Hyundai Motor has introduced its latest concept car, the Insteroid, at the ‘Night Garage Party’ in Seoul, South Korea.
The new car has been designed by merging gaming influences with extensive customisation to attract a new generation of drivers.
Developed based on the InsterEV production model, Insteroid features a sportier, track-optimised wheels, widened body, and aerodynamic enhancements such as a wing spoiler, diffuser, and wheel arch air vents.
The interior reflects a stripped-down layout, including bucket seats, a roll cage, and an adjustable instrument cluster designed for an “immersive driving experience”.
Hyundai Motor’s Insteroid also features Drift Mode, the Beat House sound system, and the Message Grid for personalised interactions. It is claimed to produce a distinct sound signature.
Finished in soft white shade, the exterior is marked by a single bold orange highlight. The car’s lightweight lattice structures enhance performance and reduce weight, Hyundai said.

By GlobalDataThe concept car also aligns with Hyundai’s efforts to support sustainability with the usage materials such as 3D knit fabric made from recycled yarns.
In addition to the Insteroid concept car, the company also showcased the Insterand InsterCross models.
Additionally, Hyundai introduced the Insteroid Kart, which is planned to be integrated into ‘Kartrider Rush+’ as part of the company’s ongoing collaboration with the gaming industry.
Hyundai plans to showcase Insteroid car at the Seoul Mobility Show, which is scheduled from 3-13 April 2025.
The company plans to expand the rollout of the Instercar to additional markets across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Central and South America in this year, beyond Korea and Europe where it was initially launched.
Recently, Hyundai Motor (the Hyundai brand – excludes Kia) reported a 2% year-over-year decrease in global sales, with a total of 365,812 units sold, for March 2025.
