Hesai Group has officially unveiled new LiDAR solution, Infinity Eye, to cater to autonomous driving systems ranging from Level 2 (L2) assisted driving to Level 4 (L4) high-level autonomy.

The firm also introduced three automotive-grade LiDAR products including the ETX ultra-long-range LiDAR, the AT1440 ultra-high-definition LiDAR, and the FTX fully solid-state blind spot LiDAR.

Hesai’s Infinity Eye is offered in three configurations including Infinity Eye A, Infinity Eye B, and Infinity Eye C to meet the needs of L4+ high-level autonomous systems, L3 conditional autonomous driving, and L2 assisted driving systems, respectively.

Intended for L4 autonomous systems, Infinity Eye A combines four ultra-high-definition AT1440 LiDARs and four FTX solid-state LiDARs for 360° coverage without blind spots.

This setup is particularly suited for autonomous vehicles such as Robotaxis and Robotrucks, providing both long-range and short-range detection capabilities.

Said to be the world’s highest-channel-count automotive-grade ultra-high-definition LiDAR, the AT1440 comprises 1,440 channels and is powered by Hesai’s fourth-generation proprietary chip. It features a range of 300m at 10% reflectivity.

It is expected to enter mass production in the second half of this year and will be featured on Kargobot’s transport robots and L4 autonomous truck platooning solutions.

The FTX, which is claimed to be the widest field-of-view fully solid-state LiDAR in the world, offers an ultra-wide 180° × 140° field of view. It enhances blind spot coverage and can detect low-profile obstacles, aiding in automated parking and safe lane changes.

For L3 conditional autonomous driving, Infinity Eye B combines a forward-facing, long-range ETX LiDAR with two FTX LiDARs.

The ETX boasts the longest ranging capability in the market, with a 400m range at 10% reflectivity. It is expected to start mass production by the end of 2026.

Tailored for L2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), Infinity Eye C features the ATX LiDAR with a 200m range and up to 256 channels.

The ATX has been selected by 11 major OEMs and has already seen over 50,000 units delivered since mass production began in the first quarter of 2025.

Last week, Hesai was selected to deliver its AT128 long-range automotive LiDAR for the first production-ready L4 Robotaxi.
