Grupo Antolin has launched a dual training programme with the aim of attracting and developing young talent as well as training qualified professionals in automotive electronics.

To carry out the programme, the company has entered into a partnership with the Technological Institute of Castilla y Leon (ITCL).

In September, the company started the pilot edition of the Dual Training Programme in Automotive Electronics, in which seven young engineers are participating. They have been hired to be part of the new Electronic Systems Business Unit team.

The engineers will now start a stage in which they will work at Antolin during the mornings, joining projects and multidisciplinary teams at an international level. In the afternoons, they will receive classes from ITCL teachers and company professionals.

The training classes will be held at the facilities of the Instituto Tecnologico de Castilla y León (Burgos, Spain). The students will receive a practical education to learn essential knowledge for the design of electronic components and their application to the car interior.

They will learn how electronic projects are managed and how both hardware and software are designed. In addition, they will also be taught the regulations and given the necessary tools to generate products adapted to the requirements of the automotive market.

Grupo Antolin is hiring professionals specialised in electronics to work on the new integrated projects with more content in electronics within its strategy to consolidate itself as a global supplier of technological solutions for the automotive interior.

The Electronic Systems Business Unit will initially have a team of slightly more than 100 specialised engineers, half of whom have joined the company in recent months or will do so soon.

In order to take advantage of the business potential of the new mobility, Grupo Antolin is developing more advanced systems that offer new functionalities incorporating more technology, electronics, decorative and lighting solutions.

Within its education programmes for talent promotion, Grupo Antolin is focused on the development of dual training, which combines solid theory training with practical experience within the company. In 2019, the company launched the Dual Master in Industrial Processes Management in partnership with the University of Burgos. It also has dual programmes in both Germany and Spain, where Grupo Antolin’s Dual Trade School is located.

With the partnership, ITCL remains committed to specialised training based on one of its main lines of research in Advanced Electronic Design and Artificial Intelligence. ITCL Technology Centre has other advanced training programmes, as well as technical workshops in six fields: Industrial Facilities, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, Logistics, Production and People Development.

It is a combination of online and face-to-face training, which helps industrial professionals to be trained in the technologies of Industry 4.0.
