Grupo Antolin and Net4Things, specialising in mobility and data-driven services, have signed an agreement to develop the connected car.
The supplier says it wants to explore the potential of new solutions and business opportunities for connectivity and driver services based on data analysis, using the Global Mobility Platform developed by Net4Things.
“The connectivity and enormous amount of data generated by vehicles open up a world of possibilities in terms of safety, new services for the passenger and improvements to the travel experience,” said Antolin chairman, Ernesto Antolin.
“At Grupo Antolin, as one of the leading specialists in vehicle interiors, we want to analyse the full potential of this connectivity to see what new solutions we can offer to car manufacturers.”
The proposition will benefit from experience acquired through connecting vehicles and building data-based, aftermarket services for drivers, where Net4Things has already connected more than 200,000 vehicles, adds Antolin.
