Volkswagen is planning to invest EUR205m in its Poznan van plant in Poland by 2012.

According to a local press report the final amount of the investment has not yet been confirmed, but around EUR100m will go towards expanding the model range.

Volkswagen produces the Transporter and Caddy light trucks and some components at its Poznan plant. 95% of vehicles produced are exported.

Last year Volkswagen said it would invest EUR9.5bn in its core brand. The Kassel plant will receive the largest investment – EUR540m.
