The company has confirmed that wireless charging stations are in development though the complete technology is around three years away.
Herbert Ruholl, Volkswagen’s head of electric car developments, said one major concern was technology standardisation that would enable vehicles from different companies to be charged inductively on the same platform. Hedid not disclose any pricing details.
