Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) has appointed Thomas Kaiser as its Modular Assembly Plant Manager for Europe. His role was created to help Visteon support its customers’ need for total automotive systems solutions.
In his new position, Kaiser will be responsible for ensuring quality and profitability improvements for Visteon’s European plants. He will report directly to Dr. Wilfried Janke, Visteon’s director and regional president, European Region. “Kaiser’s expertise will help us to grow Visteon’s ‘module’ business. The Modular Assembly Plant Manager in Europe is key because the position is a direct link to Visteon’s customers,” Janke said.

Kaiser brings with him twelve years of experience in establishing new manufacturing facilities across Europe. “Modularity is becoming increasingly more important not only in the European market, but within the global market,” Kaiser said. “OEMs have begun to realize that regional suppliers can help them lower both their asset base and their operating costs, while continuing to improve quality.”
