GM’s chief operating officer Fritz Henderson told German magazine Auto Motor Und Sport that September was the weakest month in many years but that “we could have reached the low point”.


Henderson said that GM had seen some improvement in pickup demand in August and September. He said weakening oil prices may be playing a role.


Separately, GM Europe president Carl-Peter Forster told Automobilwoche that GM inventories were currently 30% higher than normal.
