GM product chief Bob Lutz has confirmed to Automobilwoche that the Saab 9-7X will come to Europe later this year.

Originally the Chevrolet Trailblazer-based SUV, produced in the USA, was only meant to be sold in North America. According to Lutz, European exports of around 5,000 units are planned.

In the meantime dealers are pinning great hopes on the Saab 9-3 sportwagon that goes on sale at the end of August. Saab is planning sales of around 1,000 units in Germany this year, reported the paper.
