Daimler will acquire an additional 1% stake in Aston Martin, increasing its total holding in the company to 5%.
To further strengthen its collaboration with Aston Martin, which was formed in 2013, Daimler will also supply electric and electronic parts to the company.
In July 2013, the two automakers had entered into a technical partnership, which included supplying V8 engines to Aston Martin for its sports cars. These engines were to be built and supplied by Mercedes-AMG.
