The night shift on Monday and early and late shifts on Tuesday (today) have been dropped because of a lack of door and window seals, according to a Volkswagen spokesman quoted in the Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung.
“We don’t have the parts so we have to cut three shifts,” he said. Production of more than 800 units will be lost.
The spokesperson said that production is expected to resume on Wednesday, by which time the strike in Spain is expected to be resolved.
