BMW group’s Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has appointed seasoned China executive Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer as director of mainland China from 1 July.
“The new role reflects the growing importance of the region to the super luxury automotive manufacturer,” BMW said in a statement.

Wilhelmsmeyer is already in the country, having worked in senior group roles and spent his last six years in China where he currently heads the south region for BMW and was previously in charge of dealer development.
Paul Harris remains Asia Pacifica regional director covering all markets excpet mainland China. Meanwhile, Jenny Zheng, general Manager of greater China, “has chosen to pursue interests outside of the company”.
In 2011, China became the top market for Rolls-Royce, just ahead of the United States. The best-selling dealer was in Beijing.
