Bram Schot is to head up sales and marketing at Volkswagen commercial vehicles from 1 April, 2012.
He succeeds Harald Schomburg, who is leaving the company “by mutual consent”. Schot joined VW Group in 2011, initially taking charge of strategic projects at group sales. He began his career in 1982 at DAF Trucks Netherlands and moved to Mercedes-Benz in 1987 where he held various international posts, latterly as president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Italia from 2006 to 2011.
