Schaeffler Engineering has merged with Ingenieurgesellschaft für Triebwerkstechnik (IFT), a 100% subsidiary of Schaeffler Technologies.
Following the merger, the Werdohl-based engineering service provider will operate under the Schaeffler Engineering name.

Schaeffler Engineering has 250 employees and a sales turnover of EUR26.1m (US$29m) in 2014.
The merging of the two service providers had been planned since the 100% takeover of IFT by Schaeffler AG in 2013.
“IFT is a well-established expert in fields such as testing valve trains and timing drives as well as planning and constructing customer-specific test stands,” said Schaeffler Engineering CEO, Rolf Laufs.
The company’s location in Clausthal-Zellerfeld includes 39 test cells with 80 component test stands and six complete engine test stands.
