Rheinmetall is remaining tight-lipped surrounding speculation it could dispose of part of its Kolbenschmidt Pierburg division.
Last month, Rheinmetall said it would examine “the possibly of an IPO of Kolbenschmidt Pierburg,” the automotive supplier with focus on products and powertrain components for emissions and fuel economy.
“In addition to that [statement], we have not released any more information – everything in that statement remains the same,” a Rheinmetall spokesman told just-auto from Germany.
“If there is anything to say, we will say it, but I can not give any indication of what we are going to say in the next couple of weeks or so.”
Speculation has hinted Rheinmetall could sell up to 60% of Kolbenschmidt Pierburg, but this was not able to be confirmed.
