PSA’s chief executive Jean-Martin Folz has told WirtschaftsWoche he would not rule out closing west European assembly plants if necessary, reported Reuters.
He was speculating on what would happen if PSA could no longer afford high labour costs.
PSA is currently expanding capacity in eastern Europe. However if it were necessary to close plants, the new east European plants would not be the first plants in the firing line.
