German car maker Opel, a unit of General Motors of the United States, on Friday named Bernhard Lothschuetz as its new chief financial officer with effect from April 1, Agence France Presse reported.

Lothschuetz, 60, is currently head of Opel’s Australian activities.
He replaces Walter Borst, who left Opel on February 1 to take up a position at General Motors.
