Toyota plans to set up a manufacturing facility in Germany, German trade magazine Automobilwoche has reported.

The magazine cited industry sources and said Toyota has started looking for a production site and is in talks with the Industrial Investment Council (IIC), a government agency which provides advisory services to foreigners who want to invest in eastern Germany.
IIC Automotive Director Christian Blank declined to comment, it added.
Last month Automobilwoche reported that Toyota wanted to build a Lexus plant in Germany, but the report was denied by Toyota (news item here).
