DaimlerChrysler’s Mercedes Car Group sales rose 4.9% in September to 117,900 vehicles as stronger demand for its core Mercedes-Benz brand offset a hefty decline in sales at its Smart unit, Reuters reported.
Daimler said in a statement cited by the news agency that that deliveries to customers in the first nine months increased 0.7% to 878,600 units.
