Kongsberg Automotive’s interior business area has been awarded a contract for seat heat-systems to what it describes as “one of the world’s premier car brands in Germany.”

The contract is global and is the first seat heat business awarded to Kongsberg Automotive from the OEM. The new design includes seat heaters with integrated occupants’ detection systems to a large vehicle platform.

Production will be in Kongsberg’s facility in Pruszków, Poland with manufacture slated to start in 2013.
