Kia is extending its unique seven-year warranty, introduced first on the European-built Cee’d and Sportage models, to all its cars.

The lengthy warranty – some terms and conditions apply, of course, will now apply to every vehicle in the Hyundai affilate’s range.

Kia claims this is an industry-best. The warranty is transferable to subsequent owners, a move aimed at boosting used vehicle values.

The warranty includes paintwork, which  is covered for five years (depending on model), audio for three years and 60,000 miles and service parts, accessories and batteries for two years.

Normal ‘wear & tear’ items such as tyres, brake pads and clutch linings, are excluded.
