Leoni has received its first wiring systems order from Hyundai Motor.
The automaker awarded the supplier “a double-digit million euro sales volume” over a period of six years.

Leoni won the deal for “a mid-size car model” from December 2016 with a front body cable harness. The supplier will deliver from a facility close to Hyundai’s Czech Republic car plant.
Leoni hopes this first wiring systems project in Europe with the automaker will lead to it becoming a preferred supplier worldwide.
Leoni will deliver between 130,000 and 160,000 front body harnesses per year.
It attributed the contract win to its establishment of Leoni Wiring Systems Korea several years ago.
