However, a new project with its Chinese joint venture partner Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) will develop hybrid technology solely for the Chinese market, a VW spokesman told Reuters.
“A memorandum of understanding on this is supposed to be signed today,” a spokesman told Reuters.
