Hella will open a new 215,000 sq ft factory making auto headlamps and rear lights in Irapuato, Mexico, later this year.
The new plant will have annual capacity of approximately 1.2m headlamps and 1.5m rear combination lamps, inautonews.com reported.

The new factory will increase the supplier’s annual production capacity in the Americas for headlamps from 3.7m to 4.9m. Capacity for rear combination lamps will grow from 2.5m to 4m.
Hella is also expanding in Guadalajara, Mexico, with a new 9,000 sq ft lighting development centre.
