Europe’s latest folding tin top convertible will be built in France by coachbuilder Heuliez and has an electro-hydraulic retractable steel roof that opens and closes automatically, and folds almost vertically into a shaft between the cabin and the boot.
The Tigra will have 1.4 litre 90hp or 1.8 litre 125hp petrol engines and a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Tigra nameplate was previously used on a fixed roof hatchback coupe built in Spain and sold from 1994 to 2000.
