The combination of a seatbelt and an airbag helps reduce injury risks posed to rear occupants by spreading the forces across a wider area on the chest, providing extra support to the head and neck during an impact. Using environmental friendly cold gas technology, the seat belt is inflated through a patented buckle system, providing added restraint in less than 40 milliseconds.
