Rudi Kunze has been appointed to the newly established position of Chief Technical Officer, Ford of Europe. In this role, he will lead the Ford Research Centre Aachen (FFA, Ford Forschungszentrum Aachen), as well as all European Advanced Technology and Pre-program Engineering. For the year 2001, he will also assume Chairmanship of EUCAR (the European Council for Automotive Research & Development).

Previously, Kunze served as vehicle line director for family and speciality
vehicles and as such was responsible for the engineering and launch of the new
Mondeo. Rudi has a Dipl. Ing. and an MSc in Advanced Automotive Engineering.
He joined Ford in 1978 and has worked in Germany, England and the USA.
