GERMANY: Electrical systems maker AFL to supply two new General Motors vehicle lines
General Motors has named AFL (Alcoa Fujikura Ltd) Automotive as the supplier for power and signal distribution systems on two future vehicle model programmes.
General Motors has named AFL (Alcoa Fujikura Ltd) Automotive, which designs, engineers and makes complete electrical distribution systems, as the supplier for power and signal distribution systems on two future vehicle model programmes.
AFL will be responsible for the design and manufacturing of both wire harnesses and electrical centres for the two new model lines.

The joint venture company, 51% owned by aluminium supplier Alcoa and 49% by Fujikura Ltd of Japan, has three European operations: Alcoa Fujikura GmbH, AFL Michels and AFL Germany Electronics (formerly Stribel).
